Disappeared off the face of the planet this weekend. So here's a super condensed list of what I've been up to lately. I kept out the boring stuff like homework and sleeping (although there wasn't much of that at all) because who wants to hear about that.
Found out that my high school finally printed my thesis (from two years ago) up in a little booklet. Holyshit guys, I'm ecstatic about it.
Had a series two Sherlock marathon with a friend who hadn't seen it yet. We were up all night about it. I had gifs and things ready to help with emotionally re-balancing ourselves. xD
Went dress shopping for bridesmaid dresses with my friend who will be getting married a week after my birthday. So about seven weeks away. Found a gorgeous dress I'll be wearing that she was happy with. :)
Finally crashed and got some sleep after being awake for 40 of 50 hours straight.
One of the colleges I've had my eye on to transfer to for theatre accepts ASL as a language credit. Guess what I'll be taking for my language, then. :D
Finished reading Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and then read the second book in the series today. (Yay for my Nook) The movie is one of my favorite summer 'girl' movies and just adorable. The books are excellent for light reading.
Finished re-reading Inkheart and am a fraction of the way into my re-read of Inkspell.
Kept realizing all weekend how much easier my life would be if I had a car available to me.
Got my first paycheck from the new job. Smaller than I expected but I had to pay for my work shoes from it. I haven't been getting a whole lot of hours lately but at least it's something. And I hear they want to train me on registers next, now that I can basically make every sandwich there.
Decided I want to do these shenanigans on my college campus, although I think if I get enough people involved I may actually expand my plan to beyond "because it seems fun". Note: need to get a partner-in-shenaniganry.
Realized that I've wanted to learn how to play the ukelele for heaven knows how long, and they're pretty cheap/lightweight instruments and the basics aren't complicated and they sound pretty. So I think I'll do that.
